Retry Correct Incorrect Although Connie Francis had secured a record contract with MGM in 1955, her first eight singles were commercial failures. Although the ninth, “The Majesty of Love,” proved a minor charting hit, MGM made it clear they weren’t going to renew her contract. That is until she used her last recording session with them to record a cover of the 1923 song “Who’s Sorry Now?” This song rocketed to number one in the United Kingdom and number four in the United States, which convinced MGM to renew her contract.
